CU Pridefest Welcomes: Spoken Word by Jamie Marlow and Suzie Requarth!
We are pleased to welcome the addition of two talented spoken word artists to this year’s lineup. Jamie Marlow and Suzie Requarth! Both have original pieces to share with our festival. Look for them both around 7:30pm and again at 9:00pm.
Youth at Pride
At Pride Fest, there will be family centered/youth activities from 4pm – 7pm. This includes bounce houses, face painting, carnival games, temporary tattoos, and more! On Friday, August 19th, there is a youth Pride Party at IMC with a DJ, snacks, and a “show your pride” contest from 8-10pm.
CU Pride Fest Wants You to Share Your Story
Thanks to some great suggestions from community members, we hope that you will come to CU Pride Fest and share your story about how “Pride Makes It Better”. We will have a video camera set up for anyone who wants to stop by and take a few minutes to share your personal story, struggle and other words of encouragement. There will be no charge for this and we hope to be able to take some of the footage and use it for future events.
